The sign and Depot Agent's message box on the east side of the restored DeForest Railroad Depot are exact reproductions. The original "Railroad Express Agency" sign is part of the society railroad artifacts collection. The Depot Agent's message box was reconstructed using information provided in an archival photograph of the building taken during the 1930s.
