Princess Di: Gone, But Still Kicking! – Reservations Required

Where: DeForest Area Community & Senior Center

When: Tuesday, October 26 at 10:00 am

Reservations required for this event. Please email smiller@deforestcenter.org to reserve your spot.

The iconic figure of Princess Diana Spencer shocked the entire world with her death in 1997. Jillann Gabrielle has her speaking from her grave as a spirit haunting the halls of Kensington Palace. And there is a twist…she has aged. She cut a deal with St. Peter at heaven’s gate. She would be allowed to stay with her sons at the palace…but in return she would age. Diana had a great sense of humor, played the piano, sang, and danced. All of these skills are utilized as Diana spins the story of her personal and public life and the British Royal Monarchy…then AND now!

This 4th Tuesday Forum is co-sponsored by the DeForest Area Public Library, DeForest Area Community & Senior Center, and DeForest Area Historical Society.

Eleanor Roosevelt: First Lady of the World

Where: DeForest Area Community & Senior Center

When: Tuesday, September 28 at 10:00 am

Eleanor Roosevelt, as portrayed by Jessica Michna, shares with the audience her tragedies and triumphs. Born into the opulent wealth of America’s “Golden Age” she would grow from the shy, homely orphan into a confident, driven woman.

Annealed by personal tragedy, she would emerge as a champion of civil rights, author, and stateswoman.

Eleanor has been characterized by many as our most respected First Lady. She is best summed up by President Harry S. Truman, who dubbed her “The First Lady of the World.”

Co-sponsored by the DeForest Area Community & Senior Center, the DeForest Area Historical Society, and the DeForest Area Public Library.
